What is it and what is let [1] ['Chitown Kev', 'Bill In Portland Maine', 'Belinda Ridgewood', 'Major Kong'] Date: 2026-10-06 His brain is mush, but he is not saying what is being suggested. He is attacking his strawman. Three sentences with it. It is artificial. It’s a little bit high. It’s a small price to pay. What is it? The answer lies in what he said before this 42 seconds. What did he say in the moments leading up to this? His use of the word ‘let’ is in the hypothetical sense. “Let’ is what the strawman would do in his ‘weave’. Let means had he not attacked Iran, or had you elected Harris, this (attack on US cities) is what could happen. Let is actually used in normal conversational English to hyperbolically highlight what could happen in alternatives to what the speaker is doing or advocating. The ‘small price to pay’ he speaks of is the price we are paying for his war. He is probably referring to diesel because he won’t admit the price of anything else is going up and his speech addresses diesel with his order allowing untaxed diesel use on the roads. The crowd listening to him in real time probably cannot hear him as well as we can and they do not have the benefit of replaying the tape. The crowd cheered at the point he mentioned a hypothetical attack on two California cities. Of course these MAGA Nebraskans are cheering at that thought because they hate California and can’t decipher his mush/weave. The fact is that he is wrong. Iran could not and would not hit Los Angeles or San Diego with a ballistic weapon under any real hypothetical scenario. And his brain is mush.
