WAYWO open thread: so much [no] progress [1] ['Chitown Kev'] Date: 2026-10-04 It’s not been a good week for crafting progress for me. Between yard work that has to be done before winter sets in and job hunting, there hasn’t been much time for knitting or sewing. It’s also a big weekend at my favorite collaborative genealogy website, so I’ve spent some time working on my projects there. On top of all that, despite hibernating at home for over a week and seeing no one except the cats, I’ve picked up some sort of cold/flu-like bug, leaving me with very little energy beyond watching kitten videos and calmly British game shows at YouTube I haven’t taken a new picture of my progress on my current knitting focus ~ a shawl that I’ really liking. But I did finish the first skein of the multi colored yarn [with about 15 inches of yarn to spare] so I need to wind the second skein into a ball/cake to use and that requires clearing off the dining room table, which has genealogy papers all over it, to set up my swift and ball winder. I did do a few rows on project #2 while I’m procrastinating winding the skein fir project #1. Too many hobbies, so little time. Anyone else think a week should be 9 days long, with one day devoted to reading for fun and another to spend on arts/crafts? All that is my long-winded way of explaining why I’m just using the same pictures I used last week. What are you working on?
