Why Is My Diary Still on the Community Spotlight? [1]

A week ago today I wrote a diary – https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2026/9/26/800104188/community/maga-has-broken-with-trump-because-of-the-epstein-files-says-maggie-haberman/ – which got rescued and recommended, thank you very much. As always, when one of my diaries gets a lot of comments, I try to check up on and respond; one of the main reasons I’ve liked this site is that I have a chance to engage in good discussions with interesting people on important topics.

But the diary has been on the Community Spotlight for a week now. And it’s still there. The number of recommends and the number of comments haven’t changed for the last two days. Isn’t it past time for another worthy diary to take its place?

It seems to me that ever since the latest change to the website, the community is being neglected while the staff diaries get more and more attention. This used to be and is still supposed to be a site for the community to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, support each other.

What’s happened to us?
