Back Again! [1]

I’m writing again because little has changed and my age is well past 3/4 of a century. I don’t know how much time I have left as only one person in my known history has made it this far. And I’m still trying to fight back for what my nation wanted to be.

I just threw the following into an unrelated comment column in the New York Times. I did this because they have been closing their comment columns earlier and earlier if having them at all. Bottom line, the NYT continues to hold back when the time for caution passed a long time. I have to believe they are afraid of the anger out here in the world. Today’s (9/25) Editorial points out how weak and ends with soft comment.

“I canceled my subscription some time as it was only openly “concerned” about Trump at the time.

However, now it is failing big time and merely pointing out what he is doing wrong and stating he is the wrong person at the wrong time for our country??

He is the wrong person at any time for our country!

I’m unimpressed with the NYT’s description of the independent editorial board.

“The editorial board is a group of opinion journalists whose views are informed by expertise, research, debate and certain longstanding values. It is separate from the newsroom.“



I’ve also noticed the NYT closing off comments faster and more often. Your editorial board might know more as most of the comments make it clear your readers are beyond disagreement and are deep into anger.

Maybe they should be assigned to read Thomas Paine’s Common Sense.

Just my thoughts.”

It may be fewer than I think, but by now, the headlines across the board should be on the order of “Trump is a mentally ill criminal with no guardrails. Or “Trump has entirely destroyed the imperfect government we had”. Or “Trump must be removed from office and pay for his crimes.”

The followup could add in his cabinet, his family, SCOTUS, and nearly all of the GOP throughout the country. He will disrupt or steal the mid-terms if not stopped. He has threatened nations, invaded nations, murdered and incarcerated people, around the world including on the high seas. He has weakened our defense system and destroyed our alliances. He worships dictatorship. He has raised our living costs and taxes with tariffs. As opposed to being a “stable genius”, he’s an uneducated idiot…….you get the picture.

At 19 years old, my dad flew 26 combat missions over enemy lines for the USAAC leading B-24’s in WWII to stop this kind of government from coming here. He knew it’s evil and he told me to fight it if it showed up again.

It may be in a different form, but it’s back.
