Sometimes you have to take what you can get and call it a win for today. Sometimes you have to chip away at a problem from all angles, a little at a time.

Maybe it was 500 words. Maybe it was just coming up with character names. Maybe it was even “finding 50 ways that didn’t work”!

And if you do, so do your characters. In fact the process of problem solving is an integral part of plotting.

Challenge:

Write a scene where your characters have a large problem or project and are having to take baby steps toward it. Engage our senses and help us empathize with the characters.
