Anything for Content [1] ['Dan K', 'Chitown Kev', 'Thom Hartmann', 'Belinda Ridgewood', 'Bill In Portland Maine'] Date: 2026-09-17 Yesterday there was an entry about Mitch McConnell, one which I commented that journalists/citizen journalists, should not harass the medical staff (nurses) going or leaving McConnell’s house, to which I got a reply like “well they knew what they were getting into” paraphrasing. I am not calling out this user, it’s only that their comment got me thinking about how in this era, there are no boundaries, no limits, not lines which can’t be crossed. I’ve seen several clips of journalists and content creators, pursuing, following, harassing not only the medical staff but the folks from cleaning services entering or leaving McConnell’s residence. One woman was followed for about 3 minutes as she walked to what I assume was a transportation station. The women, for all that I’ve seen so far have been women, seem to be from some kind of agency, the one whose picture is above, spoke minimal heavily accented English, I chose her cause she looks like a Haitian, others looked Hispanic/Latino a few were white. How is it okay to harangue them for news of McConnell, once they decline to answer, should they not be left alone? These content creators and/or journalist do they not realize they are putting these people’s jobs at risk? Is it okay because they work for McConnel? Even when they obviously don’t? There are not his lawyers, interns or other employees who actually agreed to work for McConnel, they are part of an agency which provides services, they go where they are told to go. Have we no longer any sense of when we cross a line? Is nothing off limits anymore? I keep reading that young TikTokers are pulling dangerous stunts for clicks on TikTok… seems to me adults are providing the bad examples. It’s the anything goes era. Behavior means nothing nowadays. Ethics what’s that? Self-Control, overrated? There’s so much we need to fix in this country and I’m not talking only about institutions, guardrails and the government. Society itself needs fixing.
