Rep. Eli Crane Inadvertently Draws Sharp Contrast Between Himself, Trump and Hegseth [1]

['Blue Boomer', 'Side Pocket', 'Dr. Ash']

Date: 2026-09-13

With a fresh boodle of money pried from Trump’s hands, Rep. Eli Crane is inadvertently drawing a sharp contrast between himself, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Trump.

Crane is using all of that new Trump money to proclaim he is the one “who knows how to win.”

That puts him in sharp contrast with Hegseth and Trump, who clearly know only how to lose.

Just a couple of days ago, Crane said he was going to concentrate on how non-governmental organizations spend their money. Aides in the Crane office fell deeply to sleep and new staffers had to be flown in from Washington to wake them. Not really something that voters much care about.

But now as he waves around Trump’s money, he wants to win. He hasn’t made it clear whether he wants to win the House seat in Arizona’s 2nd District, or whether he wants to go into Iran and Rambo around trying to win the war.

As the Houthis have broken through and taken more territory in the Middle East, Crane might want to clarify what winning would look like. Is he going to personally seize both sides of the Arabian Peninsula, or is he just going to look tough in a commercial?
