Happy Labor Day! [1]

While 70% of Amaericans struggle to pay for food housing and healthcare I’m happy to know that U.S. corporate profits have fit a record high. Since 2019 corporate profits have ballooned four times faster than wages. The fact that the corporations are raising prices on us while making record profits is proof that the inflation problem we are all dealing with is founded on a base of corporate greed and political ineptitude. They do all this while promising a world where AI takes all of our jobs and the profits with it. This is text book definition of a rigged economy.

Never forget that capital owners have never given the people anything that wasn’t hard-earned. This Labor Day, tell the boss to fuck off and thank a labor union for the eight-hour workday, the five-day workweek, weekends off, overtime pay, paid vacation days, paid sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance benefits, pensions and retirement plans, higher wages, the minimum wage, child labor laws, workplace safety regulations, workers’ compensation for job injuries, unemployment insurance, family and medical leave, equal pay laws, wrongful termination protections, and the right to strike.
