Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas and comedian Janesh Rahlan dig into a country on a political bender, Democrats’ chance to finally stop playing nice, and one MAGA voter discovering that the social safety net is pretty useful when you’re the one who needs it.

With Donald Trump continuing to rename geography while also trying to steal the midterm elections, Janesh noted that whenever Trump’s “doing something that’s like, ‘OK, this one’s really illegal, let’s name something else.’”

Meanwhile, Canada is staging an economic intervention.

“Canada is like the brother who’s like helping us get back on our feet after we’ve like binged too hard, you know?” Janesh said. “Canada’s like, dude, why don’t you take a fucking shower, huh? Why don’t you take a shower? We’re gonna brew up some coffee, we’re gonna get you some oats.

“[Canada is] just like, ‘Oh Jesus,’ they’re like, ‘we were watching this and we thought you’d figure it out, but clearly you can’t do that.’”
