[1] ['Thom Hartmann', 'News Corpse'] Date: 2026-08-25 While I don’t have any particular statistical expertise, I thought it would be interesting to look at which seats could conceivably be won in different scenarios involving the 2-party vote and other expected factors such as incumbency advantage, local strength, and recent polls. I’ve made it interactive so that you can input your own estimate of the 2-party vote for the House, as well as the support for independents in four Senate races, and see how things play out in five different scenarios. Link is here: FlyingSquirrel’s 2026 Election Scenario Projector (FlyingSquirrel is my username on most other websites.) If that sounds interesting, please give it a whirl and tell me what you think!
