Good morning, crew. This morning, I included a few songs by Gordo. I hope you enjoy them. But first,

It’s beginning to cool off around here in central Wisconsin. It’s only supposed to be in the 40s tonight. Also, when I was on my way to the dentist’s clinic last week, I noticed a few leaves are starting to change colors. Granted, we still have a few days where our temps will reach the 80s but it’s a hint of things to come. Fall is my favorite season. But then whose isn’t it?

Frequent readers of Morning Open Threads may remember me posting about my problems with the local deer. Specifically, there is one doe who often comes up to the tree stump from which I feed the birds every morning. I recognize her by her small size and her perpetually worried-looking eyes. Even though there is plenty besides birdseed for deer to eat around here this time of year, I saw her at the feeding stump last week. And guess what–this time, she brought her baby fawn with her. I just didn’t have the heart to go out and run them off. From now on, I guess I’ll have two deer who aren’t at all afraid of me.
