Which is why we get these hilariously obvious attempts to make the 80-year-old look good no matter what. To facilitate Trump’s refusal to admit reality, his devoted sycophant, Natalie Harp, is here to help. The president’s 35-year-old aide is the one who assists Trump with his manic posting schedule on his failing Truth Social site, and likely is the one who de-aged a photo of Trump posted on Monday so that he didn’t look as bad as he does in real life. Related | Truth Social continues to tank This really isn’t surprising behavior from someone who writes Trump mash notes all the time, saying things like “You are all that matters to me” and “I want to bring you joy.” Yeesh. AP This is from one of Trump’s bazillion golf-related trips, though not one he played in. This trip was taken for Trump to watch the LIV Golf New York tournament, which, despite the name, is not in New York at all. It’s played, of course, at Trump’s Bedminster club, which is in New Jersey. Fun fact: LIV Golf, which the Saudis used to prop up with billions but don’t any longer, is as pathetic and crumbling as Trump. And now, here’s the version that he posted on Truth Social. The doctored photo has his mouth closed, unlike than the original where he’s slack-jawed and mouth-breathing. They slimmed him up. They touched up his face into a smooth, wrinkle-free visage rather than the pasty, lined reality, where he sorta looks like his face is melting. Then there’s that golden, gauzy filter (much like the golden, gauzy new ‘do that raised eyebrows last week). The saddest thing here is that the glow-up picture really doesn’t make him look all that much better. The other saddest thing—so many saddest things—is that Trump did not de-age or touch up Player nearly as much, and Player still looks better, even though he’s 10 years older than Trump. The other, other saddest thing is that Trump’s ego is so fragile when it comes to golf that he has to cheat constantly to win his self-hosted golf tournaments, at which point the suck-ups he surrounds himself with go wild. Super Senior and the Senior—he won both. That’s amazing. Best president of our lifetime. He won.” He’s the best president of your lifetime because he openly cheats at golf? Weird flex but okay. We have so much Dear Leader stuff happening these days, but “palace courtiers make the leader look better to soothe his tiny, fragile ego” is way up there as one of the dumbest things we have to endure. But, hey, small blessing! In the end, Trump still looks like wet garbage, even with the retouch. Masterful gambit, sir.
