An Open Letter to the Community [1]

I am just an old, retired, Neo-nerd contributor. From time to time, I get an idea of an image or thought that is, at least to me, humorous. I joined the site on January 15, 2021. Since then, I have posted a few of my meme creations for everyone to comment, critique, and hopefully enjoy.

For the first time in my association with this site, I was shocked to be put on a “TIME OUT”, which really means locked out . The person or persons that did this are still unknown. The only reason given for doing this draconian move was a notice that began with “Still not funny, or appropriate here.” So now my fellow contributors are no longer allowed to view it for themselves and respond. Only now, some anonymous autocrat will decide what is funny or appropriate.

So, what got me in trouble in the first place? The offending image was of the Trump entourage driving over the reflecting pool surface with tiller blades sticking out of the under carriage. I was looking forward to viewing all comments from my fellow readers, but hold on, I can’t! Free speech is now “approved” free speech.

They will control the subjects.

They will control the images.

They will control the comments.
