July Outings Bird Photos, Part 2 [1] ['Chitown Kev', 'Belinda Ridgewood', 'Chloris Creator', 'Darrell Lucus', 'Bill In Portland Maine'] Date: 2026-08-06 I live in the Reno area and try to take advantage of all of the varied habitats we have. Within an hours drive elevations range from a little over 3800′ at Pyramid Lake to the North to almost 10,800′ at the top of Mt Rose to the Southwest. There are numerous creeks, and streams in the Sierra that join with the Truckee River and ditches and sloughs that feed into the river, most with riparian areas. There are several mature man made ponds in the valley, some with riparian areas. Pyramid Lake is a desert lake and the Lake Tahoe is one of many alpine lakes and reservoirs in the area. So, without further adieu here are the finds in chronological order and photo heavy.
