GNR [1] ['Wafflehacker Aka Joshhacks', 'Greg Dworkin', 'Crimson Quillfeather'] Date: 2026-07-25 Well this is all exhausting, huh? I mean, good freaking lord, it is really hard to be a smart and compassionate person in America right now. It can feel depressing and overwhelming. I totally get it. I totally feel it. But here is the thing: they want you to be exhausted. They want you to be depressed. They want you to feel overwhelmed. Why? Because they need you to quit. They need you to stop trying. They need you to let them do what they want. Because they are losing. Check out this article: Three World Leaders. Three Incredibly Bad Decisions. Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin are drastically different men, but they do have one important thing in common: Each thinks he is the smartest person in any room he enters. Alas, though, because they have all done the dumbest thing you can do as a leader — surround yourself with sycophants — they have all blundered into dead-end wars from which they can extricate themselves today only by eating a banquet of crow. The only way they win is if we give up. But here is the deal: we don’t quit. We don’t give up. Because we know we can win. We know we can take this country back. We can get us on the right track again. Let’s take a look at some of their losing: You know who is losing? Putin. That loser is losing it up. Check out these headlines: With Putin visibly weakened, now is the time to back Ukraine Putin Given Dire Warning That His Inner Circle Is Turning on Him Putin is fast losing the energy war against Ukraine Vladimir Putin Is Heading For A Fall Putin Has Lost the War in Ukraine You know who is losing? Trump. That loser is losing it up. Here are some examples from just this week! everyone hates trump me Trump Gets Clobbered In New Fox News Poll Not even President Donald Trump’s favorite news network can spin his tanking approval rating. Fox News Chief Political Analyst Brit Hume and host Bret Baier lamented the findings of the network’s latest poll, which found that Republicans are shedding support en masse ahead of the midterms. Baier revealed that only 24 percent of voters surveyed said that they viewed the economy as “excellent or good” under the Trump administration, while a whopping 76 percent believe it is “only fair or poor.” “That has got to have Republicans, Senate and House, concerned,” he said Wednesday. Trump Suffers Fresh Blow as Moms Abandon Him in Poll Almost two-thirds of moms disapprove of the president. The illusion of invincibility is gone. Trump is weak and in trouble. He is a liability to Republicans running for office. Over the weekend, he became a global joke as he tried to bask in the reflected glory of Spain’s World Cup victory. And now, his ill-conceived war is going so badly that the Pentagon is concealing the number of US injuries, and the Houthi rebels are threatening Saudi Arabia’s shipping lanes in the Red Sea—its back-up route for oil exports given Iran’s stranglehold on the Strait of Hormuz. Trump’s response to the crisis is to announce a 50% tariff on goods imported into the US from Canada—effectively a tax on US retail consumers. Why does this matter? It matters because a major part of Trump’s act is to convince people that he can get away with outrageous actions because he is too powerful to be stopped. If Trump is seen as a weak, ineffective loser, he will receive less deference in the media (right-wing and mainstream), GOP members at risk will feel freer to create distance between themselves and Trump, and (crucially) persuadable independents will be less likely to support a candidate whom they once believed was a no-nonsense businessman who would “fix” the nation with his business acumen and negotiating skills. Judge says Trump’s attack on mail voting is ‘unconstitutional,’ legal challenge can continue A federal judge in Massachusetts has refused to dismiss a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s executive order (EO) targeting mail voting, setting the stage for the challenge to proceed. The government’s New York Times subpoenas just collapsed in court. And it was glorious. Judge Arun Subramanian spent nearly the entire hearing grilling Justice Department lawyers over how their subpoenas had come together. He had good reason to be both skeptical and offended. After the judge identified numerous factual errors, relevant precedent the DOJ had overlooked and potentially misleading representations to the court—raising the prospect of sanctions—the government folded. Ten minutes after asking for a break to confer with the Times’ legal team, prosecutor Sean Buckley returned and told the judge the government would unilaterally withdraw the subpoenas. Trump would love to steal the election. But he’s floundering. Donald Trump has reached that same point. He can still command attention, but he can no longer convince anyone who isn’t part of his cult of anything — not that the Iran war is a great victory, not that the economy is better than ever, not that we’re respected around the world, and not that when Republicans lose this election, it was stolen from them. And the fact that he has lost whatever power of persuasion he once had will go a long way to keep the election safe from his attempts to undermine it. I do think Kirk is a revealing case of how detached the right wing’s X-driven unreality has become from actual reality. On X, Kirk was borderline deified. In reality very few people going about their everyday lives knew who he was. — Denny Carter (@dennycarter.bsky.social) 2026-07-20T11:30:10.900Z You know who is WINNING? The good guys (that is us) Democrats hold 11-point lead over GOP on generic ballot: Poll Democrats in a new poll have an 11-point lead over Republicans on a generic congressional ballot as the midterm fight for control of the House and Senate intensifies. A national survey from Emerson College Polling found 53 percent of voters sided with the generic Democrat, up 3 points from last month Yes, that is the best number we have, but other polls also look great: everyone hates republicans me three gubernatorial rating changed this week, all to the benefit of Democrats. State Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb said in an interview that this year’s turnout shows “enthusiasm is clearly on the Democratic Party side.” “I think people are very frustrated that Republicans made all these promises and have not delivered on lower costs,” Kleeb said. 🚨BREAKING: Federal Court DISMISSES Department of Justice lawsuit seeking to compel Kentucky to provide the DOJ with access to its complete statewide voter registration database.DOJ is now 0-17 in these case. I set up a new fundraiser. You know what the best use of your donated money is? Down-ballot races. Research shows that getting people to vote for down-ballot candidates (local races and state races) ALSO gets them to vote up-ballot (but the opposite is not true). So if you want us to win the House and Senate, donating down-ballot in key districts is actually a very smart strategy! Why else? First, these are the smaller races that allow us to gain control of states and allow states to actually do things to increase voting and help people. Second, they are races that build candidates for other races in the future. Third, these races are notoriously underfunded so your donation can make a huge difference. This fundraiser divides donations between three organizations that target down ballot Democrats. Plus no annoying follow up texts and emails from a bazillion House and Senate candidates! It is a win win win!!! Here is the link: Support Down Ballot Candidates to Support All Democrats Thanks! Donate a lot. Donate a little. Just DONATE! You’ll feel great!! I am so lucky, proud, and grateful to be in this with all of you. 💙🩷💜💛✊🏽✊🏿✊🏾✊🏼💛💜🩷💙 [END] --- [1] Url: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2026/7/25/800074499/community/the-bad-guys-are-losing-i-have-receipts-gnr/ Published and (C) by Daily Kos Content appears here under this condition or license: Site content may be used for any purpose without permission unless otherwise specified. via Magical.Fish Gopher News Feeds: gopher://magical.fish/1/feeds/news/dailykos/
