Democracy is on my list [1]

['Kenneth Debacker', 'Greg Dworkin', 'Crimson Quillfeather']

Date: 2026-07-11

Formed in 1619, the Virginia General Assembly is the oldest active legislative body in North America. I firmly believe those of us running for office should understand where we come from in order to make progress through the tough times ahead. Political progress is not easy and sometimes we take small steps backwards, but our history is one of perseverance and the slow but steady advance to form a more perfect Union.

These two are at the top of my summer reading list. What’s on yours?
