Weekend at Moscow Mitch’s [1]

Date: 2026-07-09

Francisco Franco is still preventing Merrick Garland from being a Supreme Court justice.

All we’re getting is a few pro-Trump folks posting “I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior senator from Kentucky, he’s fine and recovering.” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear sent a public letter to Sen. Mitch McConnell requesting a full update on his health, citing weeks of limited information since McConnell’s June 14 hospitalization. Beshear called for transparency about his ability to serve.

Apparently Beshear is the only person who hasn’t spoken with Mitch McConnell.

Perhaps it doesn’t resemble another Tom Kean scenario where the Dems ignore something that can be used to their advantage.

Perhaps the deepfake experts on the WH graphics staff can help out with a large metal mask for Mitch

Shame on NYT for sidelining other important issues. This should be HEADLINE news.Sure, it's news Platner dropped out.But it's done and over!NOTHING on McConnell but piece ?NOTHING on Convicted Felon talking about Islamic Republic of JAPAN to NATO?Do better 😡 www.nytimes.com/2026/07/09/a… — nan a (@sorrisa7.bsky.social) 2026-07-09T13:48:57.236Z

GOPhascists will want to embalm and keep Trump visible in some monument similar to Lenin’s tomb in Moscow. Delaying McConnell’s death would theoretically allow them to delay a special election to replace him in Kentucky.

This whole debacle makes Lenin’s tomb feel dignified by comparison. — Alex Arrelia (@alexarrelia.bsky.social) 2026-06-21T13:57:23.982Z
