Candidate Vetting [1]

['News Corpse', 'Thom Hartmann']

Date: 2026-07-09

Everyone agrees that the vetting process failed in Maine. Starry-eyed young idealists rushed and crushed on a faulty candidate.

The establishment Democrats are vindicated again.

Just like when they dug deep over thirteen years to confirm that Eric Swalwell’s behavior matched his reputation.

Just like they very thoroughly yawned at Bill Clinton’s entirely un-suspicious swim with Ghislaine Maxwell and unidentified others.

just like they tried to defend New York City from a rent freeze by supporting Andrew Cuomo after he lost the primary.

There’s only one way forward: Praise Schumer and shift sharply to the right.
