New Day Cafe: Repurposing [1]

Welcome to the New Day Cafe! This is an open thread.

Recently my sister insisted that I buy an ash bucket instead of a mini garbage pan for Bramble’s poop bags. (Poop happens to the best of us.) The ash bucket did turn out to look nicer than a mini garbage can.

It got me thinking about the random items we use in ways that were not intended, and yet turn out to work well. My grandmother used to use a cigarette case as a wallet.

I’m curious to hear about the things you folks use in unintended ways.
