PSA FOR DKOS READERS [1]

I have come across a posting by “linsweet” entitled What the Platner Fiasco Really Means that has been appearing at the top of articles in the Trending Now section for days! Seriously. I kept going back and back through DKos emails over the last 3 days, and there it is, at the top of that section, with what looks like a Daily Kos logo next to it, which could imply that it is an editorial by Daily Kos staff.

If you read it, it’s an apparent smear campaign on Platner – no facts, no sources. Not just an alternative point of view. A scam. An article intended to sow grave doubt about him. Day after day after day. So it’s clear to me that it’s bad players at work here, not part of the DKos community.

This is not the first smear attempt I’ve seen against Platner on this network either – saw something a few days ago accusing him of having sexual conversations with 12 women, or something like that. Again, no facts, no sources. I researched it and came up with ziltch. Clearly Susan Collins’ evil minions are hard at work.

I’m from MA, so I can’t vote for Platner. I think he’s a candidate with promise. That’s it. I’m not engaged with his campaign other than a couple of small donations. Period.

I just want to alert members to be aware that it’s likely the DKos left-leaning network has been infiltrated, and is being populated with misinformation from adversarial campaigns.
