I’d like to share my most recent art project, and invite readers to share their own in the comments. Attribution: aPaganInArizona The elk skull I’d been working on since February. This elk skull was pretty big and took up nearly my entire dining table. The skull itself is about 17 inches long and 8 inches wide; the antlers are about 36 inches in each direction. I’ve mentioned before how painting the small detailed patterns is a kind of meditation for me. I do find it very calming and helpful for clearing my mind after too much news and doomscrolling. Attribution: aPaganInArizona The elk skull hanging on my living room wall next to a project from last year. My next project will be painting on this old, somewhat damaged and fragile horse skull which I’ve been working to clean up and stabilize before trying to paint on it. Attribution: aPaganInArizona Just for fun, I thought I’d share a picture of the bison skull my son brought home today Sunday the 26th. Definitely the biggest skull I’ve ever been up close and personal with. Thank you for reading. This is an open thread.
