Our Vote Has Been SAVEd! [1]

It’s Wednesday afternoon, and we’re basking in the knowledge that we prevailed on the YES Campaign in the Old Dominion.

What else? Oh, yeah this:

This week, the U.S. Senate stopped debate on the SAVE America Act (S. 1383), a dangerous bill that would have dramatically restricted how Americans register to vote and cast their ballots. This development means the legislation has effectively stalled out and failed in the Senate, amidst opposition from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

YES! As many predicted would happen, the SAVE Act failed in the Senate just the other day. No doubt, this is a fantastic victory. That said, we still have to be on our guard and work to make sure our votes will count now and in November’s mid-terms. The thing and the Fascist Old Party will try everything they can to sabotage our right to vote. In other words, we need to keep up the fight and prevail.

In the meantime, LET’S CELEBRATE!
