I spent 30 years fixing broken machinery for GM. Also, I spent 10 years before that building and fixing people’s homes. Army things before that after 12th grade. I kinda know a thing or three about how to fix things, and why so-called “fixes” go wrong.

Since the early 2-oughts, i’ve used Firefox on my desktop. Fun thing i found out is that if a website didn’t want to play well with FF, it turned out to be a website i didn’t want to interact with. And not just for over use of cookies. Personal privacy is more important than ever (and will get worse) and the demons of Big Tech are getting ever better at sucking up our personal data.

Rule of Thumb: Big Tech is not your friend.

So now, to see or reply to any comments, i have to grab a wonky tablet. Slow and somewhat locked down to force one to use it as they want you to use it. I’m not using any ad blockers on my Firefox, so what’s the hang up?

“Fixing” things too fast or biting off more than you can handle all but guarantees that bug will be built in.

Funny great big graphics and text come up on the display of whom i’m “following”. So, Dkos wants me to scroll several pages to find the user i like to read, not knowing if they’ve posted a new diary/article or not? www.dailykos.com/user/ xxx /favusers used to give me a listing i could sort for latest posts. Do please bring it back?

ALSO: give us back the trending list w/o all the graphics. I do text, not pictures. It’s not lower el kiddies here. (ok, that was just ranting, even though factual! lol).

Dkos has been my online news home since 2013.

I’m hoping these bugs get corrected ASAP.

Hitting publish with crossed fingers. . . .
