As you can see from the picture above, I am a busty woman. At 11, I wore a 36D cup bra. They got much larger over time. As a young adult, I wore at 38F bra. As an old woman, I am a 42G. So when I speak of breasts, I have lots of experience. The most annoying thing about breasts is that they are often considered sexual. Too often the woman who has them is reduced to just that body part in the minds of men around her. It’s creepy. I don’t want men staring at my boobs, unless we are in a sexual relationship. I didn’t want it at 11, either. But that never stopped anyone. Nor, apparently, were many men held back from grabbing them either. Or maybe I just didn’t notice the men who were polite because I was so busy defending my body from strangers, classmates, coworkers, etc. Honestly, you have no idea what a relief it was to get old and have so many fewer assaults. And consent is certainly an issue here, even with men I was interested in. Even with men I lived with. I have never, not once, had a man ask me how I liked my boobs to be handled in a sexual situation. Nor would they be happy with my answer. Boobs are not sexually arousing to me. At all. I find it annoying when men manhandle them. I put up with it as a sexual partner because I enjoyed giving my partner sexual pleasure. Now, I’m not saying this is true for all women. I’m sure some women are aroused by their partners playing with their breasts. I am not one of them. It is probably because my father was sexually aroused by my breasts. Yes, that is absolutely as creepy and horrifying as it sounds. He was the first of many men who grabbed without asking for permission first. The thing about big breasts is that they get in the way. I have accidentally typed with them. I have closed desk drawers on them. They affect my balance and have, on more than one occasion, made me fall. Off horses, down stairs. I remember working with a personal trainer. I told her I would try any exercises she wanted me to do except shoulder stands. She earnestly told me that she could help me learn to do shoulder stands. I said, “I know how,” flipped up into one - where my breasts promptly obeyed the laws of gravity and covered my nose and mouth. The look on the face of Miss 5% Body Fat was priceless. They make it hard to find clothes that fit well. I learned to avoid anything that buttoned down the front. Many men in my life seemed to think thing that speculating about my breasts was their right. As a team lead, I overheard my all-male team debating what size bra I wore. A co-worker once stopped me at the top of the steps and asked me to go down and come back up again. Mystified, I asked, “Why?” The response. “So I can watch your tits bounce.” I had not a clue how to handle such a request. Every guy I ever dated was a breast guy. So perhaps my feelings about how men react to boobs are skewed. I often wondered what it would be like to have a man attracted to me for my character or my brains. At least some of them eventually saw those things, too. Even if I not sure any of them could tell me what color my eyes were. The surest sign that a man I met was gay was if he mentioned my shoes. Straight men, generally, were not aware I had feet. I was on a date once. We were headed out to dinner and the car stopped at an intersection. He glanced over toward me to check out the traffic to the right and noticed my face. “Oh,” he said in surprise. “You’re pretty.” He had been in my company for around half an hour at that point, and it was the first time he saw my face. Why did I write this? I guess I, partly, just wanted to get it off my chest. (Giggle-snort.) But mostly, I wanted to maybe save some young woman from having to deal with being only a body part to everyone she met. Because I made some men understand. I wanted someone to enjoy sex play that included her boobs because it was consensual. I wanted some men (the good ones) to understand that not everything about boobs is great to the owner of a large set.
