Introducing the Candidate Connections Progressive Campaign Tracker [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

Date: 2026-04-12

I’ve had several elections-related projects in the fires, and this is one I’m most proud of.

Purposes

Highlighting candidates with ties to Trans Rights or Anti-Outside Spending endorsements

Identifying same-State candidates whose offices/districts overlap geographically, to encourage cross-campaign coordination (which I am providing a Digital HQ hub for)

Demonstrating that progressives are running in all kinds of races Strong D Strong R Close call

Ranking available public data about progressiveness on issues/policies in three categories Trans Rights Affordability Overall progressiveness in form responses

Making it easier to see where donations can have the most impact

Providing combined GIS-based office/district overlap notes for volunteer cooperation

Candidates/campaigns can contact me to get a link to a web form that they can use to update their row data, or to request that a new row be added for them.

Long term

I hope to be inviting campaigns to have staff join the Digital HQ hub to coordinate and share resources, and volunteers to join a separate Digital HQ hub for staying engaged in local action year-round every year.
