Hey, Let's Make A Mixed Tape! [1]

So the world is going very fast in a hand basket and we have the threat of nuclear war or at least us being assholes and dropping a nuke on Iran. The younger people these days do not have the training we had growing up about living with the bomb.

Those of us that remember the cold war and were in our youth in the 60s, 70s and 80s, 90s — there were a lot of songs about whether or not the US and the Soviets were going to just fuck everyone. Particularly by European bands.

Put a song on the mixtape, if you can find the video on youtube even better. The theme is Cold/Crazy War and every song should have some kind of tie to fear of a nuke disaster even if it’s just one line.

I’ll start with Alphaville.
