Burglar escapes with stack of empty Mac Mini boxes [1] ['Rob Beschizza'] Date: 2026-10-12 A man who broke into a tech company in Tempe, Arizona, made off with what he "likely" thought were Apple computers. But the Mac Mini boxes were empty, and he left the computers on the desks there. "I come in, the window was smashed to pieces," employee Curran Rose told Fox 10 news in Phoenix. With nothing obviously missing, he checked security footage only for it to show "Just him grabbing the boxes." The burglar didn't even fully enter the building in what the footage shows was a smash-and-grab through the window. The company has filed a report with Tempe Police, hoping somebody will recognize the man in the video, so he can't do damage anywhere else. The business owner is offering a $1,500 reward to anyone with information that leads to the identification and arrest of the man in the video. Anyone who knows anything is asked to contact Tempe Police. It used to be that Mac boxes alone could fetch a surprising amount of money, but a look at eBay suggests a going rate of about $16.
