Apple's macOS 27 installs a lot of AI bloatware [1] ['Jason Weisberger'] Date: 2026-09-23 I've been advised that if I don't want Apple "Intelligence" on, I should stay on OS 26 and decline the chance to install nearly 30GB of stuff I don't want. Remember when Apple put U2 on your iPod and wouldn't let you delete it? Now, they are forcing the Apple Intelligence stuff on all OS27 users, with no hand radio button to turn it off or even a command-line option to be rid of it. I've seen images of Siri offering to write useless texts for people, answer their emails, and do all sorts of stuff that isn't really helping. 30G is 23% of your 128GB model NEO, so I bet those owners are really excited to run this crap. I can easily wait until Apple offers an "intelligence-free" option or something forces me to update to Linux. OS 26 is just fine. Maybe they should have made the AI Agent Bono.
