Trump Phone's "final" design still very gold [1] ['Rob Beschizza'] Date: 2026-04-14 The Trump Phone was first announced as a theoretically unlikely made-in-America smartphone, then shown as a photoshopped Samsung device, and a cheap "your logo here" handset that anyone order get in bulk from the factory in Shenzhen. After all the fuss, they have a new website and a purportedly final design. It's still extremely gold. Dominic Preston at The Verge is doing God's work keeping track of this vague hope of a gadget, which still exists just to fleece the MAGA faithful. But at least they might at least get a decent handset. The spec list has been updated too. The phone has apparently returned to a 6.78-inch OLED display (the size listed at launch, then swiftly changed to 6.25 inches for no obvious reason). The triple rear cameras include 50-megapixel main and 2x telephoto lenses plus an 8-megapixel ultrawide, with a 50-megapixel selfie camera, just as I was promised in February. The 5,000mAh battery supports 30W charging, and the phone will ship with 512GB of storage and an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chipset, and run Android 15. Trump Mobile will otherwise be a standard T-Mobile MVNO that will likely be fine with whatever phone you already have, offering a $47.75 unlimited everything plan. The phone, which you can of course already order, is $499. Of course, there are other recent stories depicting completely different Trump Phone designs; presumably they're reusing old renders or marketing material, but who knows?
