The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is your next go-to tablet [1] ['Séamus Bellamy'] Date: 2026-03-09 The OnePlus Pad Go 2 isn't a top-of-the-line tablet, and it doesn't need to be. It feels as good to hold and use as Apple's current base-model iPad, with build quality that punches well above its price. If you prefer Android, this is the best mid-range tablet you can buy right now. This is a tablet for reading comics, watching a movie on a flight, or killing time with XCOM 2. The processor isn't a powerhouse, but it handles streaming, video calls, and running two apps side by side without breaking a sweat. OnePlus's version of Android is well-tuned for the hardware and largely free of junk apps — what extras are included can easily be uninstalled. The screen is sharp and bright enough to enjoy a movie on, and comfortable for reading in Libby or doing some word processing. Scrolling is smooth. It's a little brighter than the base-model iPad, but still not bright enough to use outside. The 8 megapixel cameras are nothing special, but they're fine for video calls. Only 128GB of storage is rough in 2026 — you'll be leaning on cloud storage fast. And while the metal body is sturdy and feels great to hold, it's a brutal fingerprint magnet. I had to use glass cleaner to get the oils off its matte finish. Should you buy it? If you want a tablet for drawing, studying, working, or playing on, and you don't need the absolute best, absolutely. You won't find this much tablet for this little money anywhere else.
