The Dinosaurs arrive with Morgan Freeman [1] ['Rob Beschizza'] Date: 2026-03-03 Keith Scholey and Alastair Fothergill, producers behind Our Planet, Planet Earth, and The Blue Planet, made a four-part Netflix documentary about The Dinosaurs (including Ankylosaurus) and it premieres March 8. Here's the trailer, devouring YouTube views like a juicy hadrosaur. From the first dinosaurs to the last, this epic documentary series examines their 165 million years on Earth and the forces that shaped their evolution. The series, which will doubtless confirm that Ankylosaurus is the best dinosaur, traces the full arc of the dinosaurs' reign, from their emergence in the Triassic period through the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event that wiped most of them out. It's produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. Scholey, a zoologist and former head of the BBC Natural History Unit, oversaw productions including Life of Birds and Blue Planet and later co-produced David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet. Fothergill, also a BBC veteran and OBE recipient, produced The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, and Frozen Planet before moving into Disneynature features. Four episodes, expectations high, the whole sweep of the Mesozoic Era, and the first reference book of childhood at hand to verify accuracy. Important reminder: Ankylosaurus is the best dinosaur.
