This animation shows what doom-scrolling does to your brain [1] [] Date: 2026-02-06 This lovely animation comments on the idea that our screens are consuming us. Although it takes a screen to watch this animation, it's a good reminder that too much screen time can mess with us. There are three slides in this series, and in each one, a being becomes more and more morphed into a chaos-filled screen (until he is the screen). I often feel like the guy in this animation, which is probably a sign that it should be the last thing I watch on my phone today. Watching this animation is what I'd consider a good use of screen time, though. Looking at art online doesn't make my brain feel like mush afterwards, but doom-scrolling definitely does.
