A better shoelace knot [1] ['Jason Weisberger'] Date: 2026-01-19 The Berluti knot is the product of someone thinking about a knot's function, rather than just making it easy for kids to learn. After years of knot tying in the Boy Scouts, as a fly fisherman, and sailing boats, it's incredible that I never learned a better way to tie my shoes. I have long relied on the old "double-knot" to keep them from coming undone. As of today, I will be using the Berluti knot. This'll take you moments to learn, makes complete sense and looks better than the old butterfly knot.
