Overview

This is the 28th situation report for the multi-country outbreak of mpox, which provides details on the latest epidemiology, a special focus on long-term risk assessment conducted by WHO to assess the global risk of mpox, and an animal surveillance study among susceptible wildlife in Nigeria. The report includes a summary of Standing Recommendations for mpox issued by the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) in accordance with the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR).
