Qualitative Interviewing and analysis using MAXQDA [1]

The Department of Sociology and Criminology presents a two-day intensive qualitative research course, taught by one of the authors of the popular SAGE textbook ‘How to do Qualitative Interviewing‘ and MAXQDA Professional Trainer.

The Qualitative Interviewing and analysis using MAXQDA short course is designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to conduct their own research projects using qualitative interviews and then to analyse the resultant data using the software program MAXQDA. The course is ideally suited to professionals who need to use qualitative interviewing techniques to gather information from service users, consumers, or citizens, with training focused on building rapport with others, asking open questions and active listening techniques.

The Qualitative Interviewing and analysis using MAXQDA short course will be held in person over two days at our Colchester campus and consists of a mixture of lectures, interactive exercises, and discussion sessions, as well as hands-on practical training in a computer-lab with the MAXQDA software on day 2. Participants can chose between one or two day course
