Mini - COGE Course [1] [] Date: 2024-09 The two-day Mini-COGE provides useful and practical Professional Development to educators in supporting gifted and high potential students. Gifted and high potential students are not necessarily high achievers; we focus on how to engage and support these students to reach their high potential. The Mini-COGE will help you to: Identify gifted, high potential and talented students Differentiate the curriculum for high potential students Implement ability grouping or acceleration Understand gifted education research and best practices Develop an existing (or create a new) unit of work to best suit the needs of the differentiated classroom and gifted students The unit of work allows you to implement practical changes to curriculum, assessment and pedagogy, receive feedback from other educators and the GERRIC academic presenter, and provide ongoing impact to you and your students. Please note that attendance for all hours is mandatory, so please plan your travel and commitments accordingly. The Mini-COGE is designed for teachers and administrators currently working in schools. Online course We have been running our Mini-COGE online course since April 2020 with great success and have been working hard to make sure this format has the same highly-researched content, delivered in a way that works best for online learning. FAQs What is the refund policy? Attendees will need to provide written notice by email to GERRIC at least 14 days prior to the course start date. Refunds requested within 14 days of the course start will be charged a fee of $125.00. Refund requests will be reviewed and fees can be waived under extenuating circumstances. Further details can be found in the terms and conditions section of the order form. Can I transfer my ticket to a different date if I'm no longer able to attend? Event transfer requests should be provided in writing by email to GERRIC at least 14 days prior to the course start date and will only be accommodated if there is availability on an alternative date. A transfer fee may be applied if the transfer request is received within 14 days of the event start date. If a ticket is transferred multiple times, a transfer fee will be applied.
