About the Role The Manager, Regional Training Hub at the Department of Rural Health plays a crucial role in enhancing the rural health workforce in Victoria. Based in Shepparton, this position is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Regional Training Hub, developing and implementing training programs aimed at attracting, retaining, and developing medical students and junior doctors in the Goulburn Valley region. The role involves extensive collaboration with local health services, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to support medical training integration and develop rural training pathways, while embodying the values of collaboration, respect, and integrity. Your responsibilities will include: Stakeholder Engagement - strengthen and develop strong relationships with partners. Program Management - Build effective links with academics and professional staff across the Department of Rural Health to ensure effective service delivery. Lead and manage a high performing team - Ensure that every member of the team is adequately supported to achieve their goals. Who We Are Looking For You will possess postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Your role will require a high level of accountability and reliability, with a proven ability to establish and nurture effective relationships across various levels, ensuring you follow through on commitments and engage collaboratively to solve problems and improve processes. You will also have: Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. High-level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills be accountable and to apply a significant level of judgement in carrying out the roles and responsibilities of the position Experience in or an understanding of the medical workforce.
