About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced orthodontist to join the Melbourne Dental School as a Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics. In this role, you will not only have the chance to contribute significantly to teaching and research in the field of orthodontics but also provide academic and clinical leadership. Your responsibilities will include: Drive high-impact research, publish findings, and present at international conferences. Secure research funding, both internal and external, while actively supervising research students. Deliver engaging teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and oversee clinical teaching. Actively engage in leadership roles, foster partnerships, and participate in committees to enhance the discipline and university's profile. Who We Are Looking For You are someone who embraces innovative teaching methods, empowering students' learning experiences. You excel at mentoring research students with proven ability to secure research grants and consultancies. You will also have: A completed PhD in a relevant field such as Orthodontics or a related discipline and a completed specialist dental qualification in Orthodontics with the ability to register with the Dental Board of Australia through APHRA (with no current or prior notifications). Extensive clinical experience in Orthodontics A strong track record in research with a developing publication profile. Experience in clinical teaching in dentistry and demonstrated ability for excellence in clinical teaching including the capacity to initiate and develop course development and teaching materials.
