The Editorial Web Developer will code and create The Conversation’s onsite infographics and data visualisation, and work closely with our team of editors to ensure our content is visually engaging. The Editorial Web Developer will use strong coding and web design skills to produce informative, functional and visually appealing multimedia content, including interactive graphics, timelines, charts, graphs and quizzes. This necessitates a firm grasp of coding languages including JavaScript, CSS and HTML, using these to create elements that add value and engagement to article pages. This role will suit someone with proven experience in graphics and visual content production, ideally in a news media environment. The ideal candidate will also have strong data visualisation skills and an ability to turn complex information such as federal budget figures into appealing and digestible graphics.
