About - Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology For more than 150 years, FEIT has been the primary source of engineering and IT education and research in Australia. About the Role The University of Melbourne, in collaboration with partners, is working on developing programs to support and train professionals in the Medtech industry in Victoria. These programs are hosted at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) and the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD). The role of the Executive Assistant/Administration Officer for Medtech Programs is to provide high-quality executive administrative support to the Directors of the MedTech Programs, Dr. Andrea O'Connor and Dr. David Grayden. In addition, the officer assists with various tasks such as responding to general inquiries, organizing meeting venues and catering, managing stationery and office equipment procurement, assisting with maintenance and mail delivery, and supporting the Project Manager, MedTech, to ensure smooth program operations. Responsibilities include: Monitor emails and screen phone calls, ensure action is undertaken in a timely manner and respond to emails as appropriate on behalf of the Directors, ensuring confidentiality and sound use of judgement. Provide general administrative support to the Medtech Programs, including ordering and receipting stationary and consumables, responding to general enquiries and providing appropriate information to staff, students and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Diary Management including forward planning and ensuring meetings and other commitments are scheduled in a timely manner and in a workable timeframe, anticipating likely needs and outcomes, and planning accordingly The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is essential in this multifaceted role.
