The Associate Director Internal Audit is responsible for developing and executing a risk-based internal audit plan for the University. As a leader of our Internal Audit function, you will possess a consultative and collaborative internal audit approach with a strong focus on efficiency and effectiveness. You will know how to deliver best practice processes; minimise risk; enhance internal control; while supporting the successful attainment of the University’s strategic objectives. You will lead a team of audit and assurance professionals to perform internal audit reviews and projects across the University including the management of a co-source internal audit arrangement with a professional services provider. The Associate Director will play a leading role in developing key partnerships and stakeholder relationships across the University to enhance the role and positioning of internal audit as both a value-added service and assurance provider. Your core accountabilities fall within two key areas: Internal Audit Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement Please refer to the attached PD for further details. About You: Along with your highly effective stakeholder management skills, we are looking for your demonstrated experience in proactively engaging, building and maintaining effective working relationships with staff at all levels of an organisation. You know how to influence and negotiate outcomes persuasively.
