About the Role Reporting to the Manager, Academic Support Services, and working closely with the Associate Deans Undergraduate and Graduate, and the Director of the Bachelor of Science, the Team Leader, Curriculum and Teaching Support will lead the delivery of the Faculty of Science’s academic support functions. This will involve oversight and support of the Faculty of Science Academic Programs Committees and the Bachelor of Science Course Standing Committee, the curriculum approval, change and quality assurance processes, and publication of course and subject information. It will also involve coordination of faculty-level teaching support functions, such as Special Consideration and Academic Integrity, and support for school staff in the administration of school-based teaching support functions, such as Results, Exams and Timetabling. The Team Leader, Curriculum and Teaching Support will lead a small faculty-level team that support these processes. This role is an important liaison and escalation point between the Faculty and enrolment-related student support services provided by Students and Scholarly Services to students in Faculty of Science courses. It is also a key point of coordination between the Faculty and the Divisional stakeholders teaching into the BSc. In a typical week at work, you may: Coordinate administration of curriculum development for all Faculty graduate and undergraduate programs including the course and subject approval processes and publication of the student Handbook, ensuring university systems accurately reflect the Faculty of Science curriculum Provide high level advice on policy and process to faculty staff and effectively apply University policy in the resolution of complex student cases. Lead a small team of Students and Academic Services staff delivering faculty-level teaching support functions and support school staff in the administration of school-based teaching support functions. About You You are a team player, a strong leader and a person who shows initiative through your strong work ethic. Your highly developed organisation skills will enable you to juggle multiple competing priorities simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard. You will have the ability to establish and implement new policies, procedures, and initiatives, to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes and make recommendations for change resulting in continuous improvement.
