About the Role We currently have a 2-year position available for a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to support our growing team of translational researchers in women’s health. This position will be based at the NCHER in Epping. The Research Assistant position will be responsible for a range of laboratory and administrative activities to support the research group. In a typical week at work, you may: Performed biobank specimen processing and associated data entry Coordinate and participate in lab meetings and related research committees at Northern Health and the University of Melbourne Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping of the work and managing ordering and delivery of laboratory consumables/reagents Research administration including ethics and governance approvals and lab occupational health and safety reporting requirements About You You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling you to be an effective member of a collaborative research team. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to collect and collate information accurately and reliably. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to undertake a range of tasks concurrently and demonstrate computer skills, including spreadsheets, health research tools such as RedCap and ERM, and word processing. You will also demonstrate your ability and willingness to learn new techniques and follow established protocols.
