An excellent opportunity has become available to join us as Director, Learning Transformations within the Learning Tranformations Unit. In this role, you will lead a team that supports Academic Units to achieve the goal of the University’s Education Strategy – empowering learning from diverse background to achieve their full potential in a tech-rich future – and lead a sustainable program of learning innovation to build the capability of our teaching staff to deliver an outstanding student experience. The Learning Transformations Unit plays an integral role in delivering the Digital and Blended Transformation Program and the Academic Capability Framework through the application of pedagogical innovations and appropriate learning and teaching technologies. You will be responsible for the delivery of academic professional learning programs and their associated resources, leading the scholarship of learning and teaching at Swinburne, and supporting academic career development as well as the reward and recognition of learning and teaching excellence. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education, Experience & Employability), you will be a member of a network of senior academic staff and key stakeholders who carry a shared responsibility for shaping and achieving the University’s strategic vision and goals for transformational learning and teaching within and across the University and with its education partners. Naturally you will be a strong collaborator and will engage externally with appropriate academic bodies and professional associations, vendors and industry partners, and liaise with internal stakeholders, including Academic Units in both Higher and Vocational Education, and Information Technology. You will be responsible for initiating, managing and implementing transformative educational projects and programs across the University, and monitoring their performance to ensure impactful and quality outcomes About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne is a young university with a long history.
