The Future of Sustainable Placemaking

As the world recovers from the effects of a global pandemic under the continuing challenges of the climate and biodiversity crises, we have no doubt that sustainable placemaking remains just as important as when the Sustainable Places Research Institute was first created. This event will celebrate the achievements of the Sustainable Places Research Institute and consider how our future research in this area will address the challenges of the present and the future.

Talks will take place from 12:30-1:00pm, then from 1:05-2:00pm three separate breakout rooms will host panels of experts discussing the following topics:

Sustainable Futures: Global vs. Local

The Future of our Relationship with Nature

The Future of the Food System

Wrth i'r byd ddechrau adfer yn sgîl effeithiau’r pandemig byd-eang, ac yn wyneb heriau parhaus argyfwng yr hinsawdd a bioamrywiaeth, does dim dwywaith gennym bod creu lleoedd cynaliadwy yn parhau i fod yr un mor bwysig â phan sefydlwyd y Sefydliad Ymchwil Mannau Cynaliadwy.

Bydd y digwyddiad hwn yn dathlu yr hyn y mae’r Sefydliad Ymchwil Mannau Cynaliadwy wedi ei gyflawni ac yn ystyried sut y bydd ein hymchwil yn y maes hwn yn y dyfodol yn mynd i’r afael â heriau’r presennol a rhai’r dyfodol.

Cynhelir sgyrsiau rhwng 12:30 a 1pm o bell drwy Zoom.
