The Allied Health Expansion program is creating new opportunities to better support Tasmania’s Allied Health labour force needs and will increase allied health education, training and research opportunities. The Opportunity Lead the Master of Occupational Therapy program and work as part of a state-wide team to design and deliver core components of our suite of allied health courses. Key Accountabilities: Provide exemplary academic leadership in a state-wide team delivering our suite of allied health courses, and by nurturing and facilitating the career development of other staff within the School of Health Sciences. Advance the School Learning and Teaching agenda and oversee annual quality review cycles of entry-to-practice Occupational Therapy and other professional development courses. Undertake exemplary scholarly coursework teaching and provide leadership in allied health learning and teaching. Undertake high-quality research aligned to the strategic research priorities of the College, secure external funding, publish research findings and successfully supervise research higher degree students to completion. Your Application To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate; Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia under the auspices of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA). A PhD in a relevant health discipline or equivalent experience, accreditation and professional standing. Achievement in University-level multidisciplinary learning and teaching, including flexible learning and familiarity with innovative blended andragogy and digital technologies. Evidence of leading, designing and implementing best practice assessment and student learning outcomes. Ability as an academic leader, with a strong record in team building and capacity to foster excellence in research and teaching and support staff career development. A substantial record in research that has made innovative contributions to the field of Occupational Therapy. Remuneration: Appointment to this role at Academic Level D and will have a total remuneration package of up to $180,838 comprising base salary within the range of $142,538 to $154,562 plus 17% superannuation. Appointment to this role at Academic Level E and will have a total remuneration package of up to $210,344 comprising base salary of $176,256 to $179,781 plus 17% superannuation.
