Editor & Publisher (E&P) is seeking experienced freelance journalists to contribute to its monthly B2B print title and companion digital publications. Dating back to the 1880s, E&P is one of the oldest, most revered magazines to cover the North American news industry. The publication is read by news media publishers across print, digital, radio and broadcast platforms. Candidates should be naturally curious, adept at asking probing questions to get to the heart of the story, able to meet firm deadlines, and skilled storytellers.

E&P requires at least two years’ experience reporting for a print or digital title, or at a public media company (radio/broadcast), and three professional references. Although you will receive assignments from the editor, you must be a self-starter who knows how to uncover sources, dig for information and develop stories. Knowledge of AP style and an understanding of the news media industry are a plus. This is a remote, contract position.
