Scheduling A Diary: A Tutorial. [1]

So there’s been some confusion about diary scheduling. People have scheduled diaries for certain days and times, and they have not dropped.

Let’s take some time to go step by step through the process. I’ll also throw in some screenshots as I go through the process. Hopefully these steps will clear up issues.

AND, if it doesn’t, make sure that you check your personal email you used when you signed up to DKos for the answer from the help desk should you go that route. OK, let’s get to it.

Write the diary. Frequently click “save draft”. I do so a lot, but that’s the AuDHD doing that. When you finish, click “Publish” and this pops up

3. Click on the arrow next to “Publish: Immediately”

4. Choose your date and time. REMEMBER: The date and time shown is YOUR LOCAL TIME. Adjust for ET or PT publishing to get the correct time to publish.

5. Click “Schedule”

6. When you reach this point, click the “x” in the upper right

You should come back to the main page. make sure “community post” is clicked.

Scroll down and here you can add your publish group, and any tags you wish.

Finally, click the “Save” button on the top right.

Once saved, double check in your “stories” page. You can find that by clicking your avatar.

Notice how the diary draft is in that faded color, and on the bottom left is a square that says “draft”. The scheduled diary will be fully present, and it will have a little “scheduled” tag on the lower left. Click “edit” to double check the scheduling, then “save draft”. Always click save, more than necessary. It never hurts.
