Kitchen Table Kibitzing 7/4/26 [1] ['Glen The Plumber', 'A Pagan In Arizona'] Date: 2026-07-04 hope your 4th is gentle. some pics from the last couple weeks…tell me your fave Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber Glen The Plumber I could have seen the freedom train but… Is anybody else old enough to remember the bicentennial in 1976? I was in 6th grade. Members of the school paper were taking a trip to see the freedom train. I was not part of the school paper…until a kid moved and I was asked to cover the question/answer section. So awesome for my 6th grade self. Having a chance to visit the train was very exciting. My job at the paper would be to anonymously write the advice column, answering questions from students. An obviously great choice for me. By 6th grade I already knew everything. Sharing with others would be great for them. My first edition seemed to go well. Watching kids laughing as they read the column, my job was done. And they had no idea it was me. But maybe all was not well. And I tend to miss the obvious. Do remember my mom having a talk with me about toning it down a bit. Now realize that a teacher or some such probably spoke with my mom. Being an all knowing 6th grader I ignored my mom’s advice …as you would have too. Needless to say, my next column was my last. Never got to see the freedom train. But luckily for all graced by my presence …I’ve changed not a bit. The train was probably overhyped anyways.
