How rich is Elon Musk? Forbes say as of today $1.1T. Let’s visualize that.

A million dollars in 100 dollar bills will fit inside a standard briefcase (barely). The bills weigh 22lbs (10kg) and the briefcase perhaps 6.6 lbs (3kg) – 13kg total.

An 18 wheeler trailer can legally carry about 44,000lbs of cargo (20,000kg). So each trailer can hold 1538 briefcases not counting straps etc. Let’s call it 1500 – $1.5B dollars per trailer.

$1.1T / $1.5B truck is 733 trucks.

An 18 wheeler and trailer is about 75 foot long. Let’s park them beside the road. We’ll allow 25 feet between trucks so 100 feet per truck. 73300 feet and 5280 feet in a mile.

That is just short of 14 miles.

14 miles of trucks parked by the side of the road, each holding 1500 briefcases each holding a million dollars in $100 bills.

That’s how rich Elon Musk is. Does he think its enough?
